Up to the hometown of singer Avril Lavigne, tonight for 2017's New Brewery of the year recipient: Napanee Beer Company. For only their second year of operation, Napanee Beer has raked in some impressive hardware at the beer competitions. Tonight we are trying their Extremist. A Belgian style IPA which is super hoppy and fruity.

Onto our beer...

Pours a clear brassy gold with an off-white head made up of small bubbles. Aroma is fruity and spicy with hints of clove and banana. Passion fruit and guava mingle with an almost incense-like spice First sip is sweet and fruity with an almost syrupy consistency. Hints of fruit salad, pineapple, guava, banana. Aeration gives a nice warming feel, hints of melon and citrus, with a lingering berry finish.

Final Thoughts:

It is indeed super fruity. This is a fantastic beer with lots of great hoppy flavours. It really is like drinking a fruit salad. I really think this has been the most enjoyable beer so far this
#2-4BeersofChristmas.This is definitely a beer you need to pick up, at it certainly has whetted my appetite to try more of their beers.

Cheers
